Let Your Color’s Shine
Cancer Center Children's Let Your Color’s Shine program is coming up June 19-21. “Let Your Colors Shine,” is a program for children aged 6-13 whose loved ones are battling cancer. Each session focuses on themes related to living with cancer, such as loss, grief and healing, which are incorporated into games, art projects and sharing time. “These children speak a common language,” said Kate McDonald, director of the Cancer Center. “They are able to talk to each other about what they’re going through and to address the challenges they share.”
The dates are June 19-21, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Themes:
Day 1 - Beach
Day 2 - Venice Carnival
Day 3 - Circus
Activities will include: Art/Craft projects, games, relaxation/stress reduction exercises, & story/circle time (emotional "processing").
